Manja: We will start work on the new Civil Code

The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, stated that the work on drafting a new Civil Code will begin very soon.

Regarding the drafting of the new Penal Code, Minister Ulsi Manja emphasized that the drafting of the general part has been completed.

"We will start work on a new Civil Code. The constitution is from 1998, the practice has moved forward, the dynamics of social relations has advanced a lot, we are in a process of alignment with the legislation. Of course, it will take time and the consequences will be extensive. We have a working group that has completed the drafting of the general part, a special part will also be made. And we will have a draft of the new Criminal Code that will take all the time for discussions as it is a major political reform. Even the Penal Code is from 1995", said Manja./ CNA.al
