Today, the Council of Legislation met to review the Constitutional Court's decision on the mandate of Minister Olta Xhaçka.

During the meeting, there were debates between Gazment Bardhi and Ermonela Felaj.

Bardhi stated that the Speaker of the Assembly is being used by the majority, and that she delayed the meeting by 3 months, by not calling the Legislation Council.

“Po kalon një vit dhe mazhoranca po zvarrit një çështje që do duhej të ishte marrë tashmë në shqyrtim nga GJK. Dua të ndalem fillimisht tek 5 vendimet. Unë çmoj se sa i përket vendimit që kërkon ndërhyrje në kodin e procedurës civile, Këshilli t’i rekomandoi nismëtarit që të bëjë analizën dhe të depozitojë nismën në Parlament”, u shpreh Bardhi.

Të caktojmë kur të jenë relatorët gati mbledhjen e Komisionit dhe më pas të fillojmë të diskutojmë.

Gazment Bardhi: Every member of the Legislation Council has read the decisions and comes to a conclusion. We are not from point 3 that we will present a report. We are at point 5. We will keep the initiative for these changes ourselves, or we will take it to the initiator. We are exceeding the 30-day deadline set by the regulation and we have not a minute to lose. What is the need here to appoint a relator?

Ermonela Felaj: The deadline is not related to the moment of decision-making by the Constitutional Court, but to the publication of decisions in the Official Gazette./ CNA.al
