Former minister Fatmir Mediu reacted on his social networks after today's session held at GJKKO for Gërdec.

He demands a fight for the truth and not political games with the trial for Gërdec.

The media posted on social networks the official document which shows that the criminalization of law breakers in Gërdec has been requested.

The former minister writes that even today it was proven that he has done nothing but his duty as Minister of Defense.

Even today it was proven that I have done nothing but my duty as Minister of Defense, in implementation of legal duties and international obligations from NATO and the EU.

But today at the court hearing on the case of Gërdec, I presented the only existing document, which points out an illegality in Gërdec. The document clearly and unequivocally shows that I reacted immediately, despite the fact that the alert came as a routine report from the Military Police, signaling an illegal construction in Gerdec.

My reaction, as shown in the document, was immediate and in full respect of the law. For those who cannot read it, the written note is mine and I address the message to both the civilian and military structures of the Ministry of Defense. In the note, I wrote at that time: "To make an order for the commanders, based on the above cases, for administrative and criminal punishment of the responsible persons".

The document proves that SPAK's claim of abuse of power on my part regarding the Gërdec case cannot stand. With the conviction that not only have I not misused my duty, but in the only case, when a concern about Gërdec was forwarded to me, I requested criminal prosecution for the violators, I invite you to consult the documents that I presented today in the farcical process against me./ CNA
