Parliament meets in plenary session, focusing on investment climate and EU

The Albanian Parliament will hold its plenary session according to the agenda set out in Order No. 31, dated May 12, 2026. The focus of the discussions is expected to be the investment climate in the country, the European integration process, as well as a series of interpellations with members of the government cabinet.

The main item on the agenda is the motion with debate on the issues identified in the annual report of the US Department of State on the investment climate in Albania, as well as in the progress report of the European Commission.

Next, the Assembly will also consider the draft resolution "On the accession process of the Republic of Albania to the European Union", which will be approved by a simple majority of votes.

An important part of the session will be dedicated to interpellations with members of the government. MP Tritan Shehu has requested an interpellation with Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Interpellations will also be held with Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu, Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj, Minister of State for Local Government Ervin Demo, and Minister of Interior Besfort Lamallari./ CNA
