The Democratic Party's amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly have been revealed, where several changes are proposed.

In the letter to the Assembly, the DP expresses its opposition to unilateral changes and that any change should be the product of comprehensive discussions.

It is further stated that they are against changes that limit the space and rights of the opposition in Parliament. They oppose the reduction of discussion time from 10 to 5 minutes, accelerated procedures for draft laws related to European integration, as well as the abolition of reporting by constitutional institutions to parliamentary committees and plenary sessions.

Meanwhile, they have further listed the changes that they believe should be made to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, which include:

- The chairmanship of friendship groups is determined by the President of the Assembly in consultation with the chairmen of the parliamentary groups, taking into account the political representation according to the proportion they occupy in the Assembly.

- The Secretariat for Procedures, Voting and Ethics consists of a secretary and five members, in equal ratios between the parliamentary majority and minority. /CNA
