KPA overturned the decision of KPK for prosecutor Juljan Çafka. The KPA has suspended him from office and forced him to attend training at the Magistrate's School for 1 year.

Notice of decision

The panel of judges of the Special Appellate Board, composed of Ina Rama chairperson, Natasha Mulaj relator, Albana Shtylla, Rezarta Schuetz, Sokol Çomo members, announced the decision on case no. 72/2021, dated 23.11.2021, concerning the appeal of the Public Commissioner against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 442, dated 14.09.2021, related to the subject of the revaluation Juljan Çafka.

At the end of the trial, the court, based on Article E, point 1, of the Annex to the Constitution, Article 44, letter "b" and Article 66, point 1, letter "b" of Law no. 84/2016, "On the transitional reassessment of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", by majority vote, decided:

- The change of decision no. 442, dated 14.09.2021 of the Independent Qualification Commission, which belongs to the subject of the revaluation Juljan Çafka.

- The suspension from duties of the subject of the re-evaluation Juljan Çafka for a period of one year and the obligation to follow the training program, according to the curricula approved by the School of Magistracy

- This decision has immediate effect. It was announced today, on 05.04.2024, in Tirana./ CNA
