Flash checks at Peqin prison/ Cell phones and alcoholic beverages seized

Flash checks were carried out at Peqin prison, where prohibited items such as cell phones and alcoholic beverages were found and seized.

It is reported that during the searches, the following were found on the high-security prisoner GB: 1 bottle of brandy, 2 bottles of whiskey, 1 bottle of wine and 2 phone chargers.

Another convict, specifically citizen PV, was found with: 1 iPhone type cell phone, black, 1 charger, 2 charging plugs and 1 pair of wireless headphones.

Meanwhile, 2 mobile phones, 1 charger and 3 bottles of raki were found on the convict LD.

Based on preliminary information provided by the Peqin Penitentiary Institution structures in cooperation with the Supervision Agency for the Execution of Criminal Decisions System, as part of strengthening security measures, the Operational Forces of the DPB and the security forces of the Peqin Penitentiary Institution, the Fier Penitentiary Institution and the Durrës Penitentiary Institution conducted a search of the Peqin Penitentiary Institution premises.

During the search, the following were found on the high-security GB prisoner: 1 bottle of brandy (2 L), 2 bottles of whiskey (1.5 L), 1 bottle of wine (1.5 L) and 2 phone chargers.

Convicted PV was found with: 1 black iPhone cell phone, 1 charger, 2 charging plugs and 1 pair of wireless headphones.

While the following were found on the convict LD: 2 mobile phones (1 Google Pixel, black and 1 Samsung, gray), 1 white charger and 3 bottles of raki (2 L).

The procedural materials have been referred to the Agency for further procedural actions, in accordance with the legislation in force. /CNA
