Journalist Mentor Kikia spoke this evening about the political situation in the country. Invited to the show "A Krasta Shoë" on Syri TV, Kikia said that the fall of the government is not measured in time, but in "kilometers".
The journalist also commented on the statements of DP leader Sali Berisha about the overthrow of the government, which he said are an attempt to keep alive the inspiration of people who want this to happen.
According to him, this has been proven in the opposition protests, which declare that they mark the end of the government, and after the protest the situation remains the same.
"Without asking, it takes an hour to walk, run, drive, or plane. Meanwhile, we are measuring the distance to the end of the government in kilometers. Not in time, because this government needs two months to fall, or even three months, or even a year. It is a metaphor, but the question that follows is how long will it take us to cover this kilometer? If we walk quickly, we do it in two months. If we walk slowly, there are obstacles, potholes, thorns that need to be removed, it could take us a year or more.
I can't answer this, because I have the impression that the "deadline" that Mr. Berisha has set, although not temporal, but figurative, seems more to me to be an attempt to keep alive the inspiration of the people who love this thing, to tell them that, men, and we almost brought it down, here we go again, because for the sake of truth, the end of the government has been abused a little. Expectations have been raised immediately, very high, it has reached the end point. A protest is organized, it was declared that this will mark the beginning of the end, this marks the end, tonight it will fall. And the situation that has continued has also produced that distrust, turning into a kind of "boomerang", because if it is consumed often, it becomes inflammatory as a word, as a usage, it no longer sticks.
If we really want to look at this segment, imagine a blackboard where there is this segment from point A to point B which is 1 km. I see two indicators that prove this segment, but without being able to say whether it is 1 km or 10 km. The Prime Minister's strained efforts to produce a foreign policy, which he can call upon to help him overcome the erosion that has been caused in relations here at home. And the difficult situation created in relation to justice, with the open cases one after the other and those that are rumored to be opened, which in fact have not resulted in Albania being women's talk at the village tap, since generally what has been thrown out for public consumption, to some extent has come out, has gone out into the street", said Kikia. /CNA
