Këlliçi: The vote in Athens, the standard that Albania violated for

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted through a post on social media regarding the Greek parliament's vote to lift the immunity of 13 MPs suspected of corruption.

Këlliçi writes that this news from Athens refutes Prime Minister Edi Rama's thesis that "even in EU countries, immunity is not lifted and even an investigation is not allowed without a decision by Parliament."

He further adds that Greece highlighted a standard, which according to him Rama is violating and is hindering the country's European integration. According to him, this is another reason why citizens should stand up and protest.

Full reaction:

Voting in Athens, the standard that Albania violated for Edi Rama's power!

The vote today in the Greek Parliament by an overwhelming majority in favor of lifting the immunity of 13 ruling party MPs suspected of corruption has once again highlighted how far behind Edi Rama left Albania with his vote on March 12 in favor of corruption and against justice.

Edi Rama had the opportunity to receive the Greek lesson sooner than anyone else since he is right there, where he was received by the Prime Minister.

But unlike Rama, the Greek prime minister did not order his party and supporters to obstruct justice and protect affairs in Parliament. Quite the opposite!

This news coming from Athens also refutes the thesis used by Edi Rama that in EU countries immunity is not lifted and even an investigation is not allowed without a decision of the parliament. A low deception for the Renaissance fools and no one else.

Greece manifested a standard that we trampled underfoot, simply for the personal interest of one man, for his fear, for his skin, for his chair.

Openly hindering the country's European integration.

While Montenegro is getting ready to sit down at the joint intergovernmental table with the EU to take the final step towards membership, several meetings have been held for Albania and no decision has been made, as Edi Rama chose Belinda and his government over Brussels.

Citizens have one more reason today to become aware, to stand up and to disagree with this corrupt regime that is holding our country and future hostage. / CNA
