The Greek media "Kathimerini" has made a long article about the trial of Fredi Beleri, the elected mayor of Himara, for whom the Special Prosecutor's Office requested today 2 years and 6 months in prison.

" The Beleri Case: The Anatomy of a Kafkaian Drama ", is how "Kathimerini" has titled the article, where it says that the Albanian authorities aim to eradicate the Greek minority in Himara.

The article talks about the arrest two days before the elections for classified files.

"The Central Election Commission, before accepting his candidacy for the elections, conducted two full investigations and found that he was clean. In the last court session, the official responsible for criminal files in Albania stated that "the criminal record of Mr. Beleri is impure".
