Prime Minister Edi Rama, during an online conversation, was asked about former FBI agent Charles McGonigal, who is facing justice in the US for investigations into connections with the Russians.
He has admitted that he is a friend of former agent McGonigal, saying that his case with justice is a matter that belongs to him in the US and has nothing to do with him.
"There is no fault, which Russians of mine? The FBI's counterterrorism chief was and is my friend. If he has a case of his own with justice in the US that is his case. Let justice speak in the US, that's not how justice is done. I expect much more than that, I expect it all. It is terrible for this people, for all that we consider Albanian values, it is terrible. I have nothing more to say than that, it is about an issue that has nothing to do with the Albanian government. There is no business of any kind.'- said Rama. /CNA.al
