Crime in Maliq, Lamallari and Hita head towards Korça/ Minister reports

Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari visited the injured officer at the Trauma Hospital, injured in Maliq this morning, while his colleague lost his life.

In a statement to the media, Lamallari said that he has requested from the Director General of the State Police to conduct an assessment of the situation and to initiate investigations into the management of the situation.

Regarding the condition of the injured officer, Lamallari said that the impossible is being done and his condition appears to be stabilized.

The minister also announced that the General Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has left for Korça and that he himself will head to Korça.

 

" I have immediately requested the initiation of procedures for declaring him a "Martyr of the Homeland" as a disaster for the entire state. I have asked the Director General to conduct a full assessment of the situation and to assume the responsibilities that everyone should have in managing the situation."

We are close to the family and the injured officer. The injuries are to the jaw and neck. It is becoming impossible. The condition appears to be stabilized. In such cases, patience is needed.

Any such situation requires maximum attention and a thorough investigation for disciplinary responsibilities. Such an investigation is ongoing. The director is headed to Korça, and I will join him.

"Whoever is found responsible before this investigation will be held accountable ," Lamallari said.
