Renowned actor Julian Deda reacted today regarding public figures from various fields who have joined the protests of recent days.

Through a post on social media, Deda states that most of those who are in the streets demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama are the same ones who have given him power with their own hands by voting for him.

The actor adds that he cannot unite these individuals, whom he calls 'Marxists disguised as patriots', with honest protesters.

"I personally have never voted for Edi Rama, anyone who knows me knows this, even Rama himself knows this, but every time I shouted my opposition to his governance, there were many who told me, "what are you doing, stay away from this business, get involved in art because you don't understand politics."

Today I see that most of those who criticized me are in the streets demanding his resignation. I 100% agree with this request, but you cannot demand the resignation of a ruler, since you have given him absolute power with your own hand, by voting for him. So first you give him your vote, then you tell him "go away".

"Anyway, respect for the protests and much respect for the honest protesters. No respect at all for Marxists disguised as patriots," the actor wrote. /CNA
