Abuse of the tender / GJKKO gives the decision for the businessman and 3 UKT

The Special Court has given the verdict for 3 employees of Tirana Water and Sewerage and for the businessman Bledar Shemaj.

GJKKO has sentenced Shemaj to 6 months in prison, who is accused of committing the criminal offenses "Forgery of documents" and "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms", provided by articles 186/1 and 190/1, of the Criminal Code .

While UKT employees, Ledia Ramo, Ortjon Dhami and Engjëll Dedja have been declared innocent.

According to SPAK, these persons had interfered with the conditions that the companies had to meet in the tender for clinates and carbon, in order to favor "Ë Center" sh.pk, where Bledar Shemaj is a partner and administrator.

The Special Prosecutor's Office claims that during the evaluation of the offers, UKT employees have qualified this company despite the fact that it did not meet one of the required specifications, that of the operator of heavy vehicles having a valid driver's license.

However, GJKKO has decided to punish only Shemaj./ CNA
