Former director of Water Supply and Sewerage in Kurbin, Alfred Prodani arrested for theft will be extradited to Spain, the state which declared him wanted.

Prodan will face justice in Spain, while the Court of Kurbin, after the end of his 40-day detention term, has left him in prison without a term until his extradition.

Prodan was arrested in the town of Laç after being wanted by Spanish authorities since 2013 as being involved in the violent robbery of apartments.

One of the villas that Prodani and other people are suspected of having robbed is that of Real Madrid star, striker Karim Benzema.

An international arrest warrant for the theft of dozens of villas in Spain did not prevent the 41-year-old from sitting in state offices and holding the post of director for years. /CNA.al
