The former mayor of Lezha, Fran Frrokaj, escaped from the hands of the police in the courtroom at the Court of Appeal of Shkodra, immediately after the decision to sentence him to prison.

According to Report TV, the police turned a "blind eye and a deaf ear" and did not handcuff Frrokaj in the courtroom, as they were waiting for the decision to be executed.

The latter used the procedural delay to escape. It is reported that the police have started checks, but since 13:00 there has been no trace.

Controls were also carried out in the former mayor's apartment, although they were unsuccessful. Currently, the research is continuing, while there is no information whether Frrokaj has left the territory of Albania.
