Genta Vangjeli: Nadir Çausholli, from manipulations in the pharmaceutical

The Anti-Corruption Spokesperson for the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, has denounced in the media Nadir Çausholli, the head of the company CFO Pharma.

Vangjeli stated that the Tirana Prosecutor's Office carried out a wide-ranging inspection of the premises of the 'CFO Pharma' company a few days ago, seizing inventories and reimbursement documentation.

Vangjeli emphasizes that according to reports, there is a final court decision for Nadir Çausholli for the criminal offense of 'market manipulation', as it is reported that he has sold medications up to 180 times more expensive than their real price, severely damaging citizens and the state budget.

The Anti-Corruption Spokesperson said that after 2017, Çausholli's businesses continued to flourish, where in addition to the 'Unazë' bus line in Tirana, he opened five other businesses, some of which he co-owned with public figures.

After benefiting from millions of euros from public tenders, and although the Public Procurement Agency (APP) in July 2024 excluded the company CFO Pharma from participating in tenders for 6 months, it has finally opened a new business in the field of tourism.

Vangjeli denounces that in July 2024, the company 'ROCK OF KAVAJA' sh.pk was registered, which just two months later received permission from Edi Rama himself to build a 10-11-story hotel with 3 underground floors in the Kavaja Rock area, with a declared capital of 2.2 million euros.

Nadir Çausholli owns 60% of the shares, while the rest belongs to his partner Elvis Doçi (Visi i Pojës). Çausholli paid his partner only 600 euros to purchase these shares.

Denunciation of Genta Vangjeli

Following investigations into abuses in the drug reimbursement system, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office conducted an extensive search of the premises of the company 'CFO Pharma' a few days ago, seizing inventories and reimbursement documentation.

We recall that on April 29, 2025, there was a final court decision for Nadir Çausholli for the criminal offense of 'market manipulation'.

According to reports, he sold medications up to 180 times more expensive than their real price, severely harming citizens and the state budget.

The history of his involvement in illegal schemes is not new.

As early as 2016, the Tirana Prosecution Office found an economic damage of 2.2 million euros to the state from false prescriptions and abuse of reimbursable drugs, for which Çausholli was arrested.

However, after 2017, Çausholli's businesses continued to flourish. In addition to the 'Unazë' bus line in Tirana, he opened five other businesses, some of which he co-owned with public figures.

After benefiting from millions of euros from public tenders, and although the Public Procurement Agency (APP) in July 2024 excluded the company CFO Pharma from participating in tenders for 6 months, Çausholli decided to 'celebrate' this measure by opening a new business in the field of tourism.

And it didn't turn out badly...

Thus, in July 2024, the company 'ROCK OF KAVAJA' sh.pk was registered, which just two months later received permission from Edi Rama himself to build a 10–11-story hotel with 3 underground floors in the Kavaja Rock area, with a declared capital of 2.2 million euros.

Nadir Çausholli owns 60% of the shares, while the rest belongs to his partner Elvis Doçi (Visi i Pojës).

For the purchase of these shares, Çausholli paid his partner only 600 euros.

In this situation, it remains to be seen whether justice will actually act by seizing Nadir Çausholli's assets and businesses, or whether these will remain only measures 'on paper'.

As long as Edi Rama continues to be at the head of the government, it seems that for people connected to power, the 'show must go on', despite scandals, convictions or abuses of citizens' money./ CNA
