Genta Vangjeli denounces: SP candidate beneficiary of Cerrik Municipality funds

The Anti-Corruption Spokesperson for the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, has denounced the SP candidate for the Municipality of Cerrik, Florenc Doka.

Vangjeli stated that Doka, who also held the position of Secretary General of the municipality, benefited from public funds from the Municipality of Cërrik.

According to Vangjeli, the company 'Melius' shpk, registered in 2022, according to spending data, has been contracted by the Municipality of Cërrik for the purchase of equipment and furniture, organization of social events, as well as for other services and goods.

Also, in December 2023, the Municipality of Cërrik published the announcement of the winner of the auction procedure for Lot 2 - Granting use of the 'Mollas' forest fund, plot 52b, with an area of ??5.0 ha.

The winner of this procedure was the company owned by Florenc Doka, for a contract value of only 600 euros per year.

"At the meeting organized a few days ago by the Socialist Party at the Cerrik cinema, as part of the campaign strategy towards the November 9 elections, according to the media, Minister Andis Salla declared:

'Florenc Doka is the right man for Cërriku! He knows every challenge of the city and every problem of the residents. With Florenc, Cërriku will move forward with real projects and sustainable development.'

But beyond words and political promotions, it is important that the citizens of Cerrik are familiar with the concrete facts.

After Andis Salla took over as Mayor, the family company owned by Mr. Doka, who also held the position of Secretary General of this municipality, has benefited from public funds from the Municipality of Cërrik.

Specifically, the company 'Melius' shpk, registered in 2022, according to spending data, has been contracted by the Municipality of Cërrik for the purchase of equipment and furniture, organization of social events, as well as for other services and goods.

After all this 'success' in the Municipality of Cerrik, led by Andis Salla, it remains to be seen whether Doka will be promoted further, perhaps one day even as a minister by Edi Rama.

This is, in essence, the proclaimed vision for the development of the Municipality of Cërrik according to the Socialist Party: private benefits in the name of public development.

But the citizens of Cerrik should ask themselves:

Are they willing to be represented by a person who has benefited from public funds for his private business, or is using public assets for business purposes with the power of the position he holds, and not only has he not been punished, but is being promoted as the 'right man' to run the city?
