The Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis is nearing completion and, as previously reported by CNA, is expected to open at the end of August.

This is an axis for which work began in 2009 and, despite all the ups and downs, is nearing completion.

CNA has provided footage and reports that the road is on the verge of opening.  Only part of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis segment has been fully opened.

As can be seen from the footage, the movement of vehicles has also begun.

According to the images, at this point the detour to Pgradec begins, avoiding the difficult curves of Qukë-Qafë Plloçë. 

The markings have also been completed and vertical signage is being installed, as the horizontal one has been completed. This axis is very important as it will shorten the distance to the Southeast.

Everything is now moving towards completion and it is hoped that within this month, the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë segment will be fully opened, an axis that will shorten the distance from the capital, but also the time since we will have a new road with a higher speed that will bring the capital closer to the Southeast./ CNA
