Congratulations to the winners of the 63rd Song Festival in RTSH, Shkodra Elektronike! Good luck and success in ESC 2025 – I'm sure you'll do well for the originality you bring to the ethnic elements and performance!

Although the explanation of the formula in RTSH School was a joke, now it is more than curiosity to hear its explanation.

1. The question on the points formula

If:

• The jury gives 50% of the points,

• Voting from the diaspora gives 25%, and

• Televoting gives 25%,

then how is it possible that:

• The jury gives a total of 406 points (one member of the jury gives 58 points in total, all 7 together give 406 points)

•Diaspora only 80 points, and

• Televoting also only 80 points?

What formula is this?

2. The problem with the distribution of points

•It is acceptable that diaspora points are distributed among 10 finalist artists, but how come they are distributed among only 6 artists, while 9 artists receive 0 points?

•Also, it is acceptable that the televote points are distributed to 10 finalist artists, but why are they only distributed to 9 artists, leaving 6 artists with 0 points?

3. Request for transparency

As the jury voting was transparent, it would be appropriate that:

• The formula should have been part of the regulations of the 63rd Song Festival in RTSH (https://festivali.rtsh.al/pages/regulore)

• To make public the total number of votes,

• To explain how many votes each artist received

• To show clearly how the result of the diaspora and televoting was achieved.

It is not the intention to question the winner or that the correct application of the televoting and diaspora formula will affect the result and the final ranking.

But it is the obligation of RTSH as public media and organizer of the Song Festival to guarantee transparency and equal and fair treatment of all participating artists./ CNA
