The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Ballaku, has reacted regarding the flow of vehicles on the southern axes, which have to wait in long queues to be accommodated.

In her reaction, Balluku described this as a new challenge and responsibility, which, according to the minister, comes as a result of the high number of visitors that Albania has had this summer, in the part that is now called the "Maldives of Europe".

Balluku emphasizes that, for 5 years, solutions have been given to the road infrastructure in the south of the country with investments that have been completed and are nearing completion, such as: Skërfica Tunnel, Kardhiq-Delvinë Road, Orikum-Dukat Road, Vlora Bypass, Palasë- Dhermi or Llogara Tunnel.

Number two of the government underlines that the study and design of the Dhërmi - Sarandë road, the expansion and rehabilitation of the tourist routes such as Ksamil, or all the connecting roads in the southern part of the country, must be accelerated in time.

The same process should happen with municipalities, which should study and design new service capacities, starting from public parking to cleaning.

I was inspired by this aerial video posted by my friend @alketislamiofficial, which shows how visitors to Ksamil, already baptized as "the Maldives of Europe", have to wait in long lines to be accommodated.

For about 5 years now, we have studied and provided solutions to the road infrastructure in the south of the country with investments that have been completed and are nearing completion, such as:

• Skrfica tunnel

• Kardhiq-Delvin road

• Orikum-Dukat road

• Bypass of Vlora

• Palasa-Dhermi road

Or the Llogara Tunnel, Albanian infrastructural pride.

However, the flow of visitors this summer, the promotion that they themselves have done to our country, has put us at #MIE, #ARRSH and #FSZH, in front of a new challenge and responsibility.

The study and design of the Dhërmi - Sarandë road, the expansion and rehabilitation of tourist routes such as the one in Ksamil, or all the connecting roads in the southern part of the country, despite the fact that they were in our plans, we must now accelerate them in time.

The same process should happen with municipalities, which should study and design new service capacities, starting from public parking to cleaning.
