The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, reacted after the serious incident in Maliq.

Gratitude to the RENEA forces and those of the Korça Local Police Directorate for carrying out the task with high responsibility throughout last night until this morning in Maliq even in conditions of threat to life, because the calls of the State Police, the citizen who was requested to be detained , you opposed the use of a weapon against the police. In these circumstances, the legal provisions are clear and the State Police implemented the Law.

I want to assure the public that eradicating violence against women and domestic violence is a major task for us in cooperation with other law enforcement institutions and the community in every corner of the territory.
