On his 48th anniversary, Rama has chosen to give a scarf as a gift to his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni.
Prime Minister Edi Rama and Giorgia Meloni are present at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Global Summit, where an agreement will be signed between Albania, the United Arab Emirates and Italy on underwater energy cables.
In the video that is making the rounds on the internet, Rama is kneeling as he gives Meloni the red box with his gift inside.
"Enough with these stories ," Meloni said, smiling before hugging the prime minister.
As Rama placed the scarf on Meloni's head, he explained that the gift was special, as it had been created by an Italian manufacturer who had moved to Albania to live.
Italian media write that Prime Minister Meloni thanked Rama several times and they hugged as a sign of the close friendship they have with each other. /CNA
