The Korça Local Directorate of Border and Migration has announced that it has suspended the Director of the Kapshtica Border Police Station from duty, AA, after the publication of a video on social networks showing the officer clashing with a customs officer.

According to AA, a disciplinary investigation has also been initiated, while the customs officer has been transferred from the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point until the investigation is completed.

Regarding a video posted on the JOQ social network, which shows a police officer clashing with a customs employee at the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point, we would like to clarify that:

The incident occurred on 06.01.2025, and immediately after the incident, in accordance with the State Police regulation, the Chief of the Kapshtica Border Police Station, Commissioner A. A, was suspended from duty for three days and the Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police initiated a disciplinary investigation against him.

In order to conduct a more thorough investigation, the General Director of the State Police has ordered the immediate transfer of this employee from the Kapshtica Border Control Point.

We clarify that citizen LM (customs officer) with whom the Chief of Station AA had a conflict, has refused to file a report.

Regarding this case, the Police Supervision Agency has also carried out investigative actions, according to the official announcement of the Korça Local Directorate of Border and Migration. / CNA
