"Expo Albania", the American studio is declared the winner

The 5 architectural teams presented today their ideas for "Expo Albania", the center for the organization of fairs, exhibitions of art, culture, history, conferences and various meetings, creating a new offer for the Albania of 2030.

In the competition were the studios of the American architects Steven Hall and Jeanne Gang, the German Kuehn Malvezzi, the Belgian team of "Office KGDV" and the Italian studio of Stefano Boeri.

The project of "Steven Hall Architects" was declared the winner. The winner was selected by the international jury, chaired by Bendetta Tagliabuen.

"Expo Albania" is a multifunctional center, mainly dedicated to fairs. The center will be built in Farka and will occupy an area of ??6 hectares, previously used as a parking area for helicopters.

Spaces dedicated to events, fairs, concerts, meetings, as well as 3 or 4 star hotels will be built in the former military area of ??Farka.

Also, the Center will include several exhibition, conference and meeting rooms, auditoriums as well as all the necessary support, technical and storage spaces./ CNA
