The "Gërdeci" case/ Reagon Mediu: SPAK's investigations, in

Fatmir Mediu, head of the Republican Party, reacted after the investigation by SPAK was closed and the case was sent to GJKKO.

He stated that the reopening of this case and the continuation of investigations by SPAK are completely against the law.

Further in his statement, he added that the incident in Gërdec was not caused by the orders of the Minister of Defense.

"Sending the criminal case in my charge to the GJKKO for trial, is the formalization of all actions in violation of the law carried out by SPAK within the framework of the reopened investigations in connection with the tragic event of Gërdec.

Rihapja e kësaj çështjeje dhe mandej vazhdimi i të ashtuquajturave hetime të kryera nga ana e SPAK, janë akte tërësisht në kundërshtim me ligjin procedural penal si dhe me faktet e provat.

Ngjarja tragjike e Gërdecit, ashtu sikurse edhe vetë organi i prokurorisë ka pranuar, nuk ka si shkak urdhërat e Ministrit të Mbrojtjes. Këto urdhëra kanë dalë në bazë dhe për zbatim të ligjit dhe akteve të Këshillit të Ministrave.

Detyrimi për kryerjen e demontimit ka buruar nga këto akte dhe nga angazhimet ligjore për anëtarësimin e Shqipërisë në NATO dhe BE.

Demontimi i municioneve të tepërta ka qënë një proçes i cili ishte zhvilluar si përpara ngjarjes së Gërdecit, ashtu edhe më pas mbi të njëjtin kuadër ligjor dhe nënligjor.
