Lawyer Erald Aga has submitted to the Constitutional Court the request for the suspension of Endrit Shabani's duties as Ombudsman.

This request follows the appeal he submitted a month ago to the Constitutional Court regarding the procedure for electing the Ombudsman.

I just sent the request to the Constitutional Court to increase the scope of the searches starting at midnight yesterday, requesting:

"Suspension of the exercise of the functions and duties of the People's Advocate Endri Shabani and repeal of the draft decision for the election of the candidate for People's Advocate Endri Shabani."

* I have also requested that the 35 deputies be summoned to the court session as witnesses who claim that their will has been alienated.

This request is a follow-up to the appeal that I filed with the Constitutional Court on 11.11.2025, in which I requested the annulment of the procedure initiated on 13 October 2025 for the election of the Ombudsman, requesting the completion of the previous procedure initiated on 31 January 2023, which remained in the voting phase in parliament, and the suspension of this procedure until the Constitutional Court makes a final decision on this request.
