Abuse of office and forgery/ Tirana Court upholds security measures for Tirana

The Tirana Court has decided to leave in force security measures for several officials of the Tirana Municipality and the Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IMT), accused of abuse of office and falsification of documents in connection with the demolition procedures of buildings damaged by the 2019 earthquake in the Kombinat area.

The Tirana Prosecution Office revealed the names of Tirana Municipality officials, including the heads of Civil Emergencies, IMT inspectors and the head of the Compensation Policies Sector, against whom the prosecution requested the security measures of "House Arrest" and "Compulsory Appearance".

The names of the officials for whom the Tirana Prosecution has requested arrest measures are:

-Aurel Boriçi, director of Civil Emergencies at the Municipality of Tirana, has been placed under "house arrest"

-Eleana Guçe, head of the Natural Disaster Compensation Policies Sector at the Municipality of Tirana, has been assigned the measure "Compulsory appearance".

-Aurel Çuko, General Director of Civil Emergencies, "House arrest" measure has been requested

-Rexhina Rakipi, IMT Specialist, Tirana Municipality, the measure "Compulsory appearance" has been requested.

-Sokol Qehajaj, IMT Specialist, Tirana Municipality, "House arrest" measure has been requested.

-Aleksandra Mahmutllari, works supervisor, representative of BOE "Maging shpk & Imes-D shpk", the measure "Compulsory appearance" has been requested.

-Shyqyri Maloku, legal representative of BOE “Arb & Trans-2000” shpk and “KLAJGER Konstruksion” shpk and Administrator of the Entity “Arb & Trans -2000”, the measure “Compulsory appearance” has been requested.
