The Police Supervision Agency has launched an investigation into an employee of the State Police. The following announcement states that investigations have been launched into Inspector KK, assigned as a Service Corps Officer at the Tirana Police Station, as he is suspected of having committed corrupt acts.

AMP has referred the procedural materials to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office in charge of the police officer, as a suspect for committing the criminal offenses of "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Abuse of office".

The investigation began after a video was published on social media, showing a police officer allegedly taking a bribe from a driver.

During the monitoring of social networks, a post was found on the "JOQ Albania" portal with the caption "He puts it under the cell phone and then in his pocket. The policeman takes a bribe in the middle of the road...", where also from the video footage a police officer is observed committing suspicious corrupt acts with a driver of a black Audi.

The Police Supervision Agency (Tirana Region) has carried out the first investigative actions and after identifying the police officer Inspector KK, with the duty of Service Corps at the Tirana Police Commissariat, has referred the procedural materials to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana in his charge, as a suspect for committing the criminal offenses of "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Abuse of office" provided for in articles 259 and 248 of the Criminal Code.

Investigative actions continue to fully document the case and identify the driver.
