On Tuesday, the Court of Lezha sentenced Antonio Leka to 6 years in prison. The latter, in January 2023, was caught with an arsenal of weapons and wearing a bulletproof vest.

After he was arrested, he declared to the investigators that he had set out to kill the politicians of Lezha. Leka was found guilty of the criminal offences: "Unauthorized Possession and Production of Arms, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition" and "Production and Sale of Narcotics" and was sentenced to a total of 9 years in prison, but benefited from a shortened trial and the joining of two sentences. 

During the arrest, more than a year ago, he did not resist. The police seized 1 firearm, a pistol with 5 magazines, 1 automatic rifle with 5 magazines, 550 rounds of ammunition for the pistol and the automatic rifle, 1 pair of binoculars, 1 military bulletproof vest, 1 knife, 1 military bag, 75 grams of suspected narcotic cannabis and camouflage clothing. ./ CNA
