Will he be involved in politics?/ How Samir Mane answers

The Albanian businessman, Samir Mane, was asked this evening if he will be involved in politics.

In an interview with Blendi Fevziu, Mane stated that he has no such ambition. He emphasized that he is focused on his businesses, which he said are spread across the region and Europe.

Excerpts from the conversation:

-What are your relations with politics?

Samir Mane:  I don't have any special relationship, people say good with this, good with that.

- You must have it good, as long as you deal with business...

Samir Mane:  Undoubtedly, one thing is certain that the development of Albania interests me as much as it interests all the country's politicians, maybe even more. That they finish the elections, go to their work, I will be here.

- Have Berisha as prime minister, Rama as prime minister, i.e. the mayors, been fair to you during these years that you have been in Albania?

Samir Mane:  As long as I don't have relations with the state, of course the relations are the best. I don't have public tenders, it's my choice. I don't need politics for "Neptune", "Jumbo", TEG and these, I am obviously attentive to politics.

- Meanwhile, do you have political ambitions?

Samir Mane:  I did not want to enter politics.

- Have you had offers?

Samir Mane:  You can even say something here and there, but I have no political ambitions. My business is not only Albania, but the region, Europe and maybe the world. So I don't have any kind of ambition./ CNA.al
