The government increases the special state pension/ It becomes ten times the

The Council of Ministers has today made a decision to increase the special state pension, which will be ten times the social pension.

According to this decision, the special state pensions go from about 30,000 ALL to almost 80,000 ALL per month.

The financial effects from the implementation of this decision for the year 2023 are calculated in the amount of 207 million ALL and are borne by Social Security.

Decision on an amendment to decision no. 429, dated 12.9.2002, of the Council of Ministers, "On the conditions of benefit, the amount and the procedure for granting special state pensions and special state pension supplements", amended

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 5 of Law No. 7703, dated 11.5.1993, "On social security in the Republic of Albania", amended, with the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Economy, the Council of Ministers

DECIDE:

1. Point 6, of decision no. 429, dated 12.9.2002, of the Council of Ministers, as amended, is amended as follows:

"6. The special state pension is ten times the social pension.

"On the pensions of employees who have worked in mines, underground", no. 10142, dated 15.5.2009, "On the supplementary social insurance of the soldiers of the Armed Forces, of the employees of the State Police, of the Guard of the Republic, of the Service Information of the State, of the Defense Intelligence and Security Agency, of the Prison Police, of the Fire Protection and Rescue Police and of the employees of the Internal Control Service in the Republic of Albania", amended; no. 9179, dated 29.1.2004, "On a special treatment of employees who have worked in some enterprises of the military industry", amended, no. 9128, dated 29.7.2003, "On a special financial treatment of flying pilots retired", amended, no. 9361, dated 24.3.2005, "For a special financial treatment of employees,

In cases where the amount of the special state pension supplement, according to this point, with the pensions benefited from other laws exceeds twelve times the social pension, the special state pension supplement is reduced, to the extent that together with the pensions benefited from other laws to be as much as twelve times the social pension.".

2. Special state pensions, determined by individual decisions of the Council of Ministers, up to the date of entry into force of this decision, are recalculated and set as ten times the social pension and benefited from the date of entry into force of this decision. 4. The financial effects from the implementation of this decision for the year 2023 are calculated in the amount of 207 000 000 (two hundred and seven million) ALL and are borne by the budget fund of the Institute of Social Insurance, approved for the year 2023.

5. The Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Institute of Social Insurance are charged with the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force after publication in the "Official Gazette".
