The ambassador of Ukraine in Tirana, Vladimir Shkurov, has congratulated all the people of Ukraine on its Independence Day, although today it is under Russian aggression on the 913th day of the war.

Today, the ambassador commemorated all those who fell in this terrible war started by Russia, as well as expressing his gratitude to all those who continue to fight against Russia in defense of their homeland.

Dear compatriots!

I sincerely wish you the main national holiday of our people - Independence Day of Ukraine!

33 years ago, our people approved the construction of a sovereign and self-governing, independent and open, democratic and legal state of Ukraine. In the life of Ukrainian society, a fateful event occurred in which the aspiration of millions of our fellow citizens to live in their free and democratic state.

And although the recent Ukrainian state-building process was objectively difficult, Ukraine has achieved significant heights in all aspects of restoring its independence.

Powerful economy and industry, construction and transport, agro-industrial complex, cutting technology, culture, medicine and education, talented and ambitious youth and a people aspiring to live again, freed from the path of the totalitarian past.

But the obstacle was Russia's war against our country with its cynical occupation of Ukrainian territory, missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages, deaths and destruction of peaceful homes, industrial and infrastructure facilities, hospitals, theaters, museums, schools and kindergartens, murders and abuses of civilians.

We celebrate Independence Day this year on the 913th day of the terrible war with the feeling of gratitude to thousands of Ukrainians who at the cost of their lives protect our country at the front.

Today we remember with sadness and boundless gratitude those who gave their lives in defense of the Ukrainian state and our people from the occupier.

Eternal and easy to remember, our infinite gratitude to all those who fell for the independence of the homeland and the freedom of our people.

Congratulations to everyone on Independence Day, I wish each of you family Victory over the aggressor, peaceful skies, warm meetings with family and loved ones, happy arrival in free, prosperous Ukraine.
