Details from the arrest of Jorgo Goro/ Olta Xhačka's husband "drown" the mayor

The acting mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro

The first details come to light from the arrest of the acting mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro.

He and another person were handcuffed by order of SPAK, while 3 others were placed under house arrest.

Goro was arrested in Dhërmi by SPAK agents, as soon as he got up from a cafe.

The arrests are related to the strategic investment status of Artan Gaçi, the husband of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka.

For Goro, the suspicions of abuse of office weigh heavily. He was sued by the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, for alienating property.

We recall that Goro remained in office as mayor of Himara even though he lost the May 14 elections to Fredi Beleri, who was recently convicted of vote-buying./ CNA
