Lawyer Arbër Hoxha made a strong denunciation this evening, as he spoke about the Justice Reform.
Hoxha said on Erla Mëhilli's show that prosecutors and judges are being intimidated by internationals.
He stated that the courts give more years in prison than the prosecution requests, whenever there is a representative of the US Embassy.
"I don't believe that judges and prosecutors are intimidated by these kinds of statements, they are intimidated every time there is a representative of the US Embassy. They are intimidated in court hearings and beyond what the prosecutor asks.
If the prosecutor asks for 18 or 20 years in prison for a person who is in charge of a structured criminal group, the court gives 20 or 25 years in prison, that is, always more than what the prosecution asks for," the lawyer emphasized./ BA - CNA.al
