The Democratic Party through Dorian Telit has denounced that many administrative units in Tirana do not have schools.

In a statement to the media, Teliti said that the mayor of Bahq, Erion Veliaj, is making propaganda about children.

He further emphasizes that Veliaj builds schools at five times the cost of the European standard.

But it exceeds this standard only in finance, other standards, such as heating, security, hygiene, overcrowding (students per class) are not European at all.

On behalf of the Democratic Party and on my behalf as a parent, I wish you students and high school students a happy first day of school. Good luck on the path of knowledge, especially to those little ones who start first grade today.

Congratulating the students, we cannot forget the parents, without whose efforts and sacrifices the education of this generation and past generations of Albania would not have been possible.

The Democratic Party, respecting the work of teachers and separating their noble body from a group of activists and patron-Nazis who are among them by party order, expresses unlimited support for them.

The education of our children passes into their hands and minds.

However, we the municipal councilors of the opposition in Tirana have noticed with concern that, even today as always, with the Renaissance, the first day of school was used for political propaganda.

Part of the propaganda is the fact that some students are treated like mother's and some like stepmother's. The screens are silent at some schools around the city center and silent at others.

Not a few, but 70,000 residents of administrative unit 16 do not have schools. Zero. Neither 9 years nor high school.

Quite different from what Erion Veliaj says, whose expectations we are making public again through his Facebook status.

In 2021 Veliaj promised 3 schools, in 2023 he increased the stake by promising 5 new schools.

Years have passed and promises have increased, but the 70,000 inhabitants of Astir and the surrounding area must emigrate to educate their children.

The closest schools are the school in Kombinat center or Vasil Shanto and Andrea Stefani, which is in the Laprak area, unit 11.

Not only has no new school been opened, but construction has not yet started.

As you will see in this photo, the grass of oblivion has grown over the promises and irons and remnants of Veliaj's deception have been thrown.

This is the reality beyond the propaganda. This is the real face behind the TV lighting.
