The meeting of the Economy Commission, which took place online, was accompanied by strong debates between the socialist deputy, Erion Braçe and the democrat, Edmond Spaho.

Spaho pointed out that the budget for 2024 was approved in just 5 minutes and asked for a reflection by the majority, because according to him, if the majority does not change its position, then the same situation will continue in Parliament.

Spaho said that the return of the Parliament to normality is not only a demand of the democrats but also of the internationals.

"Representatives of the USA, Britain, Germany and the European Union have drawn attention to the need for a normal parliament in accordance with the laws, and that the dialogue between the majority and the opposition is an essential element for integration in the European Union. They are what we have been asking for for a long time, for the parliament to return to normality, to meet the legitimate demands for the creation of the parliamentary investigative commissions as well as for the election reform commission. The time has come for you to put an end to your stubborn and intolerant attitude, and to respect the constitutional rights of the opposition, and not to continue voting and applauding as if you were an automaton and not politicians of a country that will join the EU", said Spaho .

After Spaho's speech, Erion Braçe reacted immediately, saying that lighting the fire in the Assembly is a criminal event.

"The fire in the Assembly is a pure criminal act, which endangers the lives of not only the deputies, but which endangers the institutional and constitutional life of the Republic of Albania. The budget has not been approved yet, because the item-by-item discussion is what counts. The vote on December 7 is the process of approving the state budget. Who had the presence of mind to follow the fight, the budget was voted on in 5 minutes," Braçe said.

Spaho said that if the majority do not change their behavior then nothing will change.

"When you continue with this language, this logic means that you have not changed anything. If you don't change anything, we will continue with the same behavior you have seen, either in committees or in plenary sessions," said Spaho.

Braçe says that any charlatan who is in the Parliament to lick Sali Berisha's face should be restrained.

"The gentleman who spoke has also made mud in this commission with direct insults to the members of this commission.
