CNA denounced the abuses/ Rexhë Byberi, in GJKKO
The mayor of Tropoja, Rexë Byberi

The mayor of Tropoja, Rexhë Byberi, will appear this Thursday morning at GJKKO.

Today, the "house arrest" security measure, imposed since Monday, will be verified.

A few weeks ago, CNA launched an investigation into the head of the Municipality of Tropoja, Rexë Byberi, who has been denounced several times for favoritism with tenders. 

SPAK registered a criminal proceeding against the mayor of Tropoja, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty", "Illegal cutting of forests" and "Destruction of property".

In the investigations, there are reasonable doubts that Rexhë Byberi, in the capacity of the mayor of Tropoja Municipality, in cooperation with his deputy, Abedin Kërnaja, has committed actions/inactions that constitute a regular failure to fulfill his duty, committed in violation of Article 11 No. 408, dated 13.5.2015 "On the approval of the territory development regulation", during the process for opening roads according to the projects approved by the Municipal Council.
