Balluku visits the reconstructed school in Klos: better conditions and standards

Three schools in the municipality of Klos have undergone a complete reconstruction, offering much better conditions for all students. The intervention for the reconstruction of these schools was carried out meeting all energy efficiency parameters.

The United High School in Xibër i Klos is one of them, which was also visited by the Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, who was closely acquainted with the entire intervention carried out.

The Director of the Energy Efficiency Agency, Ani Hasa, announced details of this project with a focus on reducing electricity consumption and increasing thermal comfort. Part of the project is also the installation of the boiler for the central heating of the building, as well as the installation of photovoltaic panels.

"In Klos are the first three schools directly belonging to the Energy Efficiency Agency. This is the first pilot project, but the Energy Efficiency Agency has indirectly been part of foreign foundations, mainly for the Dibra area. We have also focused on multi-family, residential buildings, since they also have a significant consumption of electricity", Hasa announced.

Deputy Prime Minister Balluku emphasized the improvement of conditions in educational institutions, while stopping at the school in Xibër, she said that there are more than 100 students who already have very good conditions.

Balluku further emphasized that even with the support of partners, interventions will continue in other schools of the country.

"I had a meeting in the last few days with the regional director of UNDP. Something that they have underlined and guaranteed me that they will continue to give us financial support with grant packages is for the energy efficiency part. Of course, always having the principle that these packages should be spent in state buildings, such as schools, kindergartens or hospitals, that we have also intervened in hospitals, dormitories, as is the case of the KFW for all the dormitories it is doing. said Balluk.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy further added that "these are good jobs that children enjoy, which is the group for which we have a special focus, and at the beginning of the school year this is excellent news for parents who already feel that children are sent to schools in safe conditions, but also in optimal conditions, such as the case of buildings where energy efficiency is applied".
