CNA warned/ The officers in Rinas are put in handcuffs

On Sunday, CNA was one of the only media outlets to report that an operation was taking place at the Rinas airport for the criminal activity of the blue uniforms in cooperation.

The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana sent arrest warrants to the Court on Sunday, where it demanded the arrest of several police officers. (read here)

The news was reported only by CNA for an action of the Police Supervision Agency in cooperation with the State Police.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, the Police Surveillance Agency and the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana issued an official announcement regarding this action in Rinas.

On Tuesday, the court's decisions were executed for 8 police officers and 1 citizen, who were left in jail. While 8 other police officers are being investigated at large. Officials at the Rinas Police Station are accused of abuse of office and corruption.

The court has decided on prison terms for:

1 . Inspector BT, 39 years old , with the duty of Assistant Specialist/Controller in the Border Section, at the Rinas Airport Border Police Station, in the DVP Tirana, suspected of the criminal offense "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Abuse of duty";

2 . ES, 29 years old, suspected of the criminal offense "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions";

With the measure of personal insurance "House arrest":

3. Inspector S. XH, 32 years old, with the duty of Assistant Specialist/Controller in the Border Section, at the Rinas Airport Border Police Station, in Tirana DVP, suspected of the criminal offense "Abuse of duty";

4 . Inspector EM, 33 years old, with the duty of Assistant Specialist/Controller in the Border Section, at the Rinas Airport Border Police Station, in Tirana DVP, suspected of the criminal offense "Abuse of duty";

This operation came after several months of investigations conducted under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, applying also special methods of investigation, through which evidence and facts were provided for the involvement of the above-mentioned states in criminal activity.

The investigations showed that the citizen with the initials ES, owner of a tourist agency, was in constant contact with the border police controllers at Rinas airport, to whom he sent data and travel documents of persons who were not allowed to travel to EU countries. specifically, persons who had returned to the Sports category of INAD and were prohibited from entering the EU countries, minors without parental power of attorney, or persons with personal insurance measures.

Police officers, case by case, depending on the problems and against the monetary amounts that varied in different values, allowed their passage according to the destinations./ CNA
