The city of Pogradec

The Municipality of Pogradec announces that from 2020 to 2023, the lake city is not only one of the most popular tourist cities, but has also recorded a significant increase in nights spent in hotels and guesthouses. 

According to official data from 37 formal subjects in the Municipality of Pogradec, it results that the numbers of people who have slept in Pogradec in the January-December periods have not only increased, but have almost tripled, this in a 4-year period.

This institution underlines that the city of Pogradec closed the year 2023 with about half a million visitors and tourists.

"We came together with the tourist operators to list Pogradec in the list of the most preferred cities and we are already on the unstoppable path of tourist development, which mostly serves to strengthen the local economy of the city and its surroundings. In the post, we have established only overnight stays in formal hotels and guesthouses, as there are many others that have received visitors and tourists but are still in the process of being formalized, which means that the numbers are many times higher than what we have presented in the graph. Meanwhile that Pogradec closes the year 2023 with about half a million visitors and tourists", the announcement states. /CNA
