Rama rewarded him with the post of minister/ Blendi Gonxja becomes

Blendi Gonxhja reacted after the changes in the Government, where Rama proposed his name as Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation.

Through a status on social networks, Gonxhja says that his appointment is challenging, while he expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Edi Rama.

He states that the privilege of the position of minister comes with tremendous responsibility to work.

"I am deeply honored for the appreciation and trust of Prime Minister Rama in this challenging appointment! A privilege that comes with extraordinary responsibility and commitment to work with passion and humility to serve with ideas and solutions for more citizens and sectors in the country!", writes Gonxhja on social networks.

We recall that Rama rewarded Blendi Gonxhja with the newly created ministry, promoting him from the position he held as director of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services. 

Rama dismissed Elva Margariti, dissolved the Ministry of Culture and created the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation.

The head of government and Gonxja are known for their friendship. Before giving him the position of Director of Transport, Rama kept Gonxhja as deputy mayor of Tirana Municipality in 2000, when he was running the municipality himself. He has always been recognized as one of the loyalists of the head of the government. 

Regarding the hints that there may have been debates between them, it was Blendi Gonxhja who silenced the rumors and said that there were never any conflicts with the head of the government./ CNA
