The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu held a meeting with heads of educational directorates in the districts as well as teachers, where she announced the call for competition for 200 positions for school leaders.

"This year for the Ministry of Education and Sports will be the year of transformational processes in the education system, starting from preschool education to pre-university and higher education. Our aim is to increase the quality of education for all levels of education. In the meetings that I have had during the dialogue "Let's talk about education" with teachers, students and parents, the need to increase the role of teachers in the decision-making processes of the school, but also of the school leaders, who must improve their skills, has clearly emerged their leadership and management in function of inclusiveness and in function of joint decision-making, including even more teachers in decision-making processes", said Manastirliu.

According to the Minister, the professional training and support of school leaders is an investment in the basic cell of education and is of fundamental importance for the entire progress of learning processes and the way the school is led and managed.

Emphasizing the importance and role of the head of the school in improving the quality of education, the minister announced the call for competition for 73 positions in DRAP Durrës, 40 in DRAP Fier, 55 DRAP Korçë and 32 in DRAP Lezhë for school leaders and assured that the process will be transparent and meritocratic and will be followed with great care and attention by the Ministry of Education and Sports (MAS) and the General Directorate of Pre-University Education (DPAP).

"The application will be followed very carefully by MAS and its structures, in order to have an open, transparent process, a meritocratic process, in such a way that the best teachers, leaders, managers are put at the head of our 200 educational institutions. good, to move the school forward, to move forward good results and to raise the administration and management of our schools to a new level. Of course this will only be a first stage of the process, as soon after after the completion of the first phase, i.e. the filling of 200 school leadership positions, it will be continued with the other phases; second and third, for the filling of new positions, which will be announced by MAS and DPAP in function of filling all schools with leaders, who will be permanent and not temporary leaders", said the minister./ CNA
