The teaching process has also started in the schools of the Korça District, where a decrease in the number of students can be observed.

About 300 less students were registered in the first grade, where according to the figures from last year with 1698, this year the number of registrations was 1302 students.

There are about 500 less registrations in the tenth grade, where from 1779 registered last year, 1277 students have been registered this year.

What makes the situation alarming at the beginning of this school year is the closure of some schools in the southeast. More specifically, Kodras primary school in Kolonje, Kapshtica primary school in Devoll and four schools in Maliq have been closed due to the drop in the number of students, more specifically schools in the villages of Mjaltas, Desmirë, Zvarisht and Osoje.

According to official figures, a total of 14 classes have been closed in some of the villages of ZVAP Maliq.

As for the district of Korça, there are no closures of schools, but only the closure of four classes, more specifically two classes of the primary cycle in Kamenica and two classes of the upper cycle in Kamenica and Floq.

In total, for this school year at the district level, the number of students is 21080./ CNA
