Prosecutor Vasjana Postoli has left the case of the murder of Egli Proga, the 42-year-old who lost his life after being raped in Pogradec.

The decision to change the prosecutor of the case was taken by the head of the Korça Prosecutor's Office, after Postoli eased the charge against the author Denis Meçe.

Until now, the name of the prosecutor who will take over the investigations has not yet been announced.

We remind you that Egli Proga was raped to death outside the premises of the victim's bar.

At first, the murder was reported as a crash, but after more than 12 hours the police announced that we were dealing with a banal fight from which Egli Proga had been killed.

The police arrested Denis Meçe as the author of the murder, on the charge of intentional murder, and prosecuted Voltan Shkulaku, Leonidha Guçe and Arjan Manellari for failure to report the crime.

But the Prosecutor's Office of Korça, in the session for setting the security measure, reduced the charge against Denis Meçe from intentional homicide to manslaughter, which brought a clash between the police and the Prosecutor's Office of Korça./ CNA
