Arrest by order of SPAK/ Who sank Ilir Meta

The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, was arrested by order of SPAK near Casa Italia.

Meta's arrest comes after a series of cases for which Meta has been referred to the Special Prosecutor's Office.

One of the issues that Meta was investigating is that of CEZ-DIA.

In April 2022, SPAK reopened the CEZ-DIA file on theft of public money. The investigations were followed by the head of SPAK himself, Altin Dumani, and Arben Kraja.

Another report made against him is related to the issue of lobbying in the USA with 670 thousand USD.

This money was not declared by Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi. This issue is in the hands of SPAK since August 2022.

Meta and his wife have been denounced to SPAK by lawyer Idajet Beqiri, for not declaring the money spent on aesthetic services by the couple, in a clinic in San Marino and Austria. Another denunciation was made against Meta for money laundering and hiding the ownership of the LSI building.

On July 25, SPAK registered another criminal proceeding no. 137, for abuse of office, corruption and money laundering, where Ilir Meta, Monika Kryemadhi, Monika's brother, Drini Kryemadhi and Drini's father-in-law, Nuri Peti, are reported./ CNA
