Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted regarding the recent arrests made by SPAK.

He said what you have seen in the recent period of arrests of high profile organized crime figures is only the beginning of the end.

Rama says that the end of the privileged position of organized crime in certain areas of Albania has begun.

According to the Prime Minister, the state will win this started war and will win it irrevocably.

"With the creation of SPAK, the prosecution and the courts have been the main allies. Now we have entered into revenge against the state, not the government. What you have seen in the recent period of arrests of high profile organized crime figures is only the beginning of the end. The end of the privileged position of organized crime in certain areas of Albania has begun. The time will be near when all these fires will be extinguished. Those who belong to that world and will have the courage to stay in Albania will end up where they started to go, who are the first living evidence that there is no compromise with organized crime here. This started war will be won by the state and it will be won without return. A long era of strongmen with special statuses in the world of organized crime will be irretrievably closed. The underground world will have their own life but no longer above and below the ground. The land of Albania will belong to the Albanian state. The fight against organized crime will be fought with the rats of the underground, but not in the majesties and not even through public funds. This may be a little but for me it is a lot, one of the surest things. Time will tell very quickly. The action against organized crime will be exemplary," said Rama./ CNA
