The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, will visit Albania next week, between February 14-17.

His arrival in Albania has a special significance according to Prime Minister Edi Rama as he says that it shows where Albania has risen in the eyes of its strategic allies.

"In the first place, I believe that the arrival of the Secretary of State in Tirana has a special significance, for the context in which Europe and the world are today, for the very busy time for a Secretary of State that the fact that he finds it necessary and decides on his agenda to stop at the Albanian capital as a point of reference for the region, he talks in a special way about where we have raised Albania in the international arena and what Albania represents today in the eyes of our strategic allies, related to this region, where with pride I say Albania is the strength of the example to build peace, to build the paths of cooperation, to build a common future and to separate from a past full of tragedies, full of setbacks, full of opportunities infinite lost to leave a better place for other generations", said Rama./ CNA
