The High Prosecution Council has started preparations to find Arben Kraja's successor at the head of the Special Prosecution.

The region must hand over the task in December, while the competition for the new head of the Special Prosecutor's Office is expected to open on September 16.

It was the chairman of KLP Alfred Balla himself, who gave details of the procedures that will be followed.

“Drejtuesi aktual i Prokurorisë së Posaçme përfundon mandatin në datën 18 dhjetor dhe ne kemi detyrimin si Këshill që 3 muaj para përfundimit të hapim garën. I bie që javës tjetër, në mbledhjen e ardhshme të Këshillit që kemi fiksuar në datë 16 shtator, një nga pikat në rendin e ditës do të jetë edhe hapja e garës për drejtues të Prokurorisë së Posaçme”, shprehet Balla.

Ai tregoi më shumë mbi kriteret që favorizojnë më shumë kandidatët:

“Kuptohet që kandidatët që kanë më shumë eksperiencë në drejtim, sepse mundet të jesh një prokuror i mirë, por nuk je menaxher i mirë i një zyre. Kandidatët që kanë spikatur me punën e tyre. 

Ata që kanë një figurë edhe mediatike dhe marrëdhënien me median dhe publikun për aq sa i takon. Kandidatët që kanë eksperienca në hartimin e akteve nënligjore dhe rregulloreve do i kemi parasysh në përzgjedhje."

The completion of SPAK with 20 prosecutors, according to Balla, will have to wait, as the Council is focused on filling vacancies in district prosecutor's offices where 104 prosecutors are missing:

"The main source of introducing prosecutors into the system is the School of Magistrates and since we were established we have appointed 40 prosecutors. This year we appointed 22. In order to mitigate the vacancies, we have proposed to the Assembly that it be possible to change the law regarding prosecutors who are in the process of study, who can make the 3rd year a paid practice and work in the system". said Balla. /CNA.al
