At the British embassy in Tirana, tributes have been paid to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. After the tributes, the ambassador, Alastair King-Smith, made a statement in which he expressed that he was overwhelmed by the death of the queen, adding that she was the epitome of public service.

“Të gjithë jemi të dërrmuar nga vdekja e Madhërisë së Saj, Mbretëreshës. Ajo është monarkja më jetëgjatë në historinë e Mbretërisë së Bashkuar. Ajo ishte shëmbëlltyra e shërbimit publik, tërësisht e përkushtuar ndaj vendit dhe popullit të saj. Edhe këtë javë, në ditët e fundit të jetës, ajo qëndroi e përkushtuar në kryerjen e detyrës, duke pritur kryeministrin e saj të pesëmbëdhjetë.

Ajo ishte Matriarkja dhe fryma e Britanisë së Madhe dhe popullit britanik. Përkushtimi i saj ndaj detyrës ka qenë frymëzim për mua dhe për të gjithë nëpunësit publikë ndër vite. Dhe unë besoj se Mbretëresha do të vazhdojë të frymëzojë shumë breza të ardhshëm në Mbretërinë e Bashkuar dhe në botë.

Siç tha edhe Madhëria e Tij Mbreti Charles III:

"Today we mourn the death of our precious Sovereign and our beloved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt across the country, kingdoms and Commonwealth as well as by many people around the world."

In Albania and in this region, Her Majesty the Queen will be remembered for the Order of Merit that she presented to Mother Teresa in November 1983, in recognition of her extraordinary service to humanity.

During these difficult days ahead, we will join together in the UK, the Commonwealth and the world to remember her extraordinary legacy.
